How to Study the Lecture
Following an artistic approach, read and consider the lecture content.

Section 1 & 2 - Practicality & Thought
We learn that our thinking is not as practical as we would like it to be. What is thought? How do we come to understand what thinking and thoughts really are?

Section 3 - Unknowing
So often we jump to conclusions, based on old or erroneous thought. In this section we consider what we can learn when we withhold our conclusions.

Section 4 - Educated Guessing
In this exercise we practice supposition and then test and review our guesses so we get better with our observation abilities.

Section 5 - Prioritizing Thoughts
The next exercise gives several opportunities to train your ability to control what “comes to mind.”

Section 6 - Improving Memory
Our memory can be nurtured to recall past events in all their fullness, if only we persist and practice to make it so.

Section 7 - Making Decisions
In order to avoid miss-steps and set-backs, we can apply practical thinking to make decisions and successfully carry out our plans.

Section 8 & 9 - Errors in Thinking and Conclusion
We review several types of common erroneous thinking and consider how to practice of these new thinking exercises in daily life.

KELLY BEEKMAN
Kelly Beekman, MEd, is an artist and educator working out of the impulses of Anthroposophy and Waldorf Education. With over 20 years of teaching experience, she has worked with parents and children to create opportunities to awaken what is truly human within each person. She has been a classroom teacher, mentor, workshop leader and tutor, teaching and supporting through personal interaction and online programs, focusing on storytelling and the arts.
